Trump accuses Democrats of obstructing immigration deal. But GOP also not fully on board.

“March 5th is rapidly approaching and the Democrats are doing nothing about DACA,” Trump wrote. “They Resist, Blame, Complain and Obstruct — and do nothing.”

Trump urged his supporters to demand that the House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and other Democrats “work out a DACA fix, NOW!”

In reality, Trump is facing resistance from both parties to his deal.

Liberal groups have called Trump’s proposal an attempt to use dreamers as “ransom” for a “white-supremacist” agenda, while hard-line conservatives have denounced Trump’s support of “amnesty” for dreamers.

Thursday’s tweets came in advance of a planned trip to a Republican congressional retreat in West Virginia, where he said he will be discussing both immigration and another legislative priority, investing in the nation’s infrastructure.

“Heading to beautiful West Virginia to be with great members of the Republican Party,” Trump wrote. “Will be planning Infrastructure and discussing Immigration and DACA, not easy when we have no support from the Democrats. NOT ONE DEM VOTED FOR OUR TAX CUT BILL! Need more Republicans in ‘18.”
